Away in a Manger

Hi all,
Not long before Christmas now, and I have soooooo much still to do.  Daisy went off dressed in her party dress as her school has their Christmas party today (they all have it together as there are only 50 children in the school) and she is very excited about having 2 weeks off.  Martha had fun at her toddler party, although she hid when Santa came in and only looked up again when he left!
Over at CRAFT, we have a great sketch for you.  I have used an image by Glitterbabe called nativity and lots of scraps of papers.
See you later.

Where has the time gone?

Hi all,
I can't believe it is Wednesday already and I am running very late with this post.  The drama club nativity went really well last Friday and all the parents seemed to enjoy it.  We went to Daisy's school nativity on Tuesday morning and then Martha had her toddlers Christmas party this morning.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and our theme is holly and/or mistletoe.  The challenge started on Monday, but I just haven't had a chance to get on here.  I have used this sweet Bugaboo image, with free magazine papers.  It's simple, but what I need at the moment!

In the bleak mid winter

Hi all,
Well, it's still cold but the ice isn't as bad so Daisy has been in school again.  I can't believe there is only one more week of school before the Christmas holidays.   We are still quite busy here.  I run a drama club in our village after school on Fridays for children between 4 and 11 (although Martha also comes along) and tomorrow they are performing a nativity play for their parents, so I am madly trying to get things sorted for it.  I really should be doing that now instead of being on here!
Over at CRAFT, our theme is winter, and I have made a tag using a cute owl from Meljen's designs, one of our sponsors.  I made all the tags for our presents last year, but I am so behind this year I think I may have to (shock, horror) buy some!
See you later.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve...

Hi all,
I hope you are all wrapped up warmly.  Daisy is home from school today as the lanes to her school were really icy this morning and the bus couldn't get through, so the school said we could keep the children off.  I didn't fancy trying to drive her there myself, so she is off.  Hopefully it will be okay tomorrow though, as I don;t like her having too many days off school.
Over at Creative Craft Challenges, we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and our theme is humorous.  I have made a very simple tag, using this reindeer trio from Bugaboo as it always makes me laugh.
See you later.

All partied out!

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  The surprise party went really well.  My mother in law really didn't have an inkling about it, which was amazing as she usually finds out about everything!  Lots of people came along and the girls stayed up VERY late.  On Sunday, we were all very tired and chilled out.
Over at Incy Wincy we are sponsored by Digital Delights and our theme is snowflakes.  I have used an image by Digital Delights and used some snowflake paper.  I'm not sure who it is by, as I have had it for ages and cut off the make.  I will put a sentiment on the tag, but thought I should get some rub ons for it and don't have any as I don't often use them.
See you tomorrow.

Shhh!

Hi all,
Well, it's the weekend (nearly).  The snow has now gone and now it is pouring down.  This weekend, hubby's brothers and family are coming up as it it my mother in laws 70th birthday and we have told her we are going out for a meal.  Actually, we are holding a surprise party for her (it's okay to post it here as she doesn't even know I have a blog), so we will be spending tomorrow cooking and preparing and then partying.
Here is my card for my mother in law.  I have used the fab sketch from Feeling Sketchy.  I haven't had time to join in for a couple of weeks, so was happy to have a reason this week.  The image is by Penny Black.
See you later.

Not long to go

Hi all,
Well, it's very snowy here.  Yesterday we got a message from school saying that the bus was collecting the bus children at 1pm because of the poor road conditions.  We were okay as I was home with Martha, but it wasn't so good for people who had to work.  Anyway, we spent the afternoon playing in the snow and then warming up with hot chocolate.
Over at CRAFT, our theme is Christmas and I have used a wonderful image by Robyn's Fetish, one of our sponsors.  I have gone traditional here, because I think the image needed it.  The papers are magazine freebies.
See you later.

Normal service has resumed (I hope)

Hi all,
I'm back.  Did you miss me?  The last performance of Oliver was on Saturday night.  I was playing Nancy and Daisy was in the workhouse scenes and in Fagin's gang.  Daisy and I had a wonderful time in it and I think people enjoyed watching it.  I must admit that I am looking forward to a rest, but it is weird not having to rehearse.  My parents left us on Sunday and I already miss them, but they are off to America next week to spend Christmas with my sister, who lives there.  I am now hoping that I will have more time to craft and be on here.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Saturated Canary and our theme is non-traditional Christmas colours.  I have used the image Noel and have used purple - my favourite colour.  The papers are from Nitwits and another I'm not sure of, sorry.
See you later.

Flutterbies

Hi all,
I hope you had a good day.  I'm sorry I haven't been around all week, but the girls were ill all week and I had rehearsals and the school Christmas fair to help organise (I am treasurer of the school PTA).  The girls are okay now, but as it is show week I may not be around too much this week either.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Delicious Doodles and our theme is Magical/Mystical.  The papers are a mix of makes and the silver butterfly is from an old necklace.
See you later.

Whoosh

Hi all,

I hope you had a good weekend.  I had rehearsals for Oliver on Saturday and Sunday.  Today, Martha was off from nursery as she still hasn't completely recovered, and Daisy was sent home from school with the same bug.  I am working tomorrow and Wednesday, so my poor Mum is looking after them as well as my Dad, who also has the bug.  I really hope I don't get it.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Stamp Fairy, and our theme is Hip to be square.  I have used 5 squares of paper and square gems.
See you later.

Baubles galore

Hi all,
As is usual at the moment, I am running a bit late with this post.  I was at work Wednesday and Thursday, which aren't my usual days, but as Mum and Dad are up, they can look after Martha.  Then, Martha's been ill last night and today, so she has been quite clingy.
Anyway, over at CRAFT this week, our theme is to use fabric.  I have had lots of Christmas fabric lying around for years as I was going to make decorations and things, so I found this fab bauble pattern and used an image by Bugaboo stamps, one of our sponsors.  The papers are by My Mind's eye.
See you later.

I am an ogre!

Hi all,
Thank you so much for all your birthday wishes.
We had a lovely time at the NEC, although I was shattered at the end.  I got up at 5.45am to get the train and we didn't get back until 10.20pm.  I bought a few dies and nealry bought some spectrum noirs as I think I am the only one who doesn't use alcohol inks to colour in, but I'm still too scared to have a go!
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by the fab Kenny K, and our theme is girl power.  I have used this fab Kenny K image, because it reminds me of Princess Fiona in Shrek 4 when she becomes a warrior (which is where the title quote comes from).  I have watched all four Shrek films many times as the girls love them.  The papers are a mix of Papermania and Hot off the press.  I think the card looks a bit plain to me, but I didn't want to use flowers to embellish as they don't fit with the image in my opinion.
See you later.

Happy birthday to me!

Hi all,
Well, it is my birthday today and Daisy woke me up at 6 this morning to give me her present.  She and Martha were more excited about it than me and loved helping unwrap my presents from them.  As part of my gift, I am off to the NEC this weekend with my Mum, so I am looking forward to getting some crafty goodies.  Martha is having a nap and Mum and Dad are a couple of hours away, so I thought I would post this while I have time.
Over at CRAFT, our theme is to be inspired by a film.  I have used Snowman Wreath by Hope Jacare, one of our sponsors and my film is The Snowman.  I have used the fab sketch by Feeling Sketchy.  I have rotated it and adapted it a bit, so I hope that is ok.  I haven't had time to join in for a couple of weeks and have really missed it as I love their sketches as they are more CAS than I would normally do and a bit of a challenge.
See you later.

Thank you for being a friend

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  Ours was busy, as usual.  We ended up in Ikea as they had a sale and the girls needed some furniture for their rooms.  It's now all in the living room in boxes, waiting for us to put it all together.  I will probably do some this afternoon as it is pouring with rain and I don't want to go anywhere.
My parents are coming up to stay for a few weeks on Thursday, so hopefully they can help with the decorating.  Our performance of Oliver is in three weeks time, so Daisy and I are also very busy rehearsing. Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Saturated Canary and our theme is thank you.  Well, I think I need to say thanks to my teamies again, as I am running behind.  I do hope life gets more calm soon.  I used a gorgeous Saturated Canary image and princess papers from different companies.  I thought this could be a thank you for being my friend, card, or even a present thank you card for Daisy to send to her friends.
See you later.

Let down your hair

Hi all,
There seems a bit of a theme to my posts this week, as I have to apologise for the lateness of this post.  We have started to get the house back to normal and I am using the opportunity for a good clearout.  The half term has flown by and Daisy still needs to finish off her homework.  Aaagh!
Over at CRAFT this week, our theme is birthdays.  I have used a fab image called Rapunzel, by LEJ Designs, one of our sponsors.  I thought that I could use this card for Daisy's 6th birthday in January.  I know I am a bit early, but Christmas does take up a lot of my time so I thought it would be good to be organised for a change.
See you later.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire

Hi all,
I know I am a day late with this post, but as always, we are running around like headless chickens.  The carpet is being put down today upstairs and in one room downstairs and this weekend, hubby and I spent the time moving ALL our furniture into the new room and kitchen.  We have been staying with my inlaws for a few days as every thing is a mess.  Hopefully by Friday we will be back here and ready to get the furniture back.
So this is why I am late.  Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by our own Nikki from Limited Runs.  We have a recipe for you - 4 papers, 3 brads, 2 ribbons and 1 image.  I have used a lovely fireplace image by Limited Runs.  You can't really see, but it has been decoupaged for depth.  The papers are a mix from my scrap box.
See you later.

Oh Christmas tree

Hi all,
It's been another eventful few days in the bee household!  Hubby left on Tuesday to go to France for work.  He was leaving to get his plane after work and we weren't going to see him until late tonight.  Well, I got a phone call in the afternoon saying that he had forgotten his passport (honestly, the only thing he needed to remember!), so I picked Daisy up from the bus after school, rushed down to get Martha from nursery and managed to get into Newcastle 20 minutes before his train to the airport arrived.  I then made this card and realised that hubby had taken our camera with him.  I had a good idea to take the photo on my phone and email it to myself, but it wasn't playing nicely.  Hubby was not in my good books!  I did eventually get it uploaded, but it isn't the best quality - sorry.
Over at CRAFT today, we have a recipe for you:
I have used an image by Digi Darlas, one of our sponsors.  The papers are by Making Memories and the tag was from my stash.  I have used the fab sketch by Feeling Sketchy, just changing the oval to a circle (I don't have any oval dies), and the stars to flowers and pearls.
See you later.

Bicycle race

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  We woke up to fog today and it hasn't gone yet.  I am off to school soon see Daisy's teacher for parent's evening (I know it is only the afternoon!), so as long as she has settled well into her new class and works hard, I will be happy.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Di's digi downloads, and our theme is things with wheels.  I have used free digi papers (if I can find them again, I will put the link on here) and resist stamped an image by Kaisercraft.  I think I need to get some more embellishments which would be suitable for these kinds of cards, so I must look out for them at the NEC when I go in November.
See you later.

Flutter by, butterfly

Hi all,
I hope you are all well.  Daisy has an awful cold, but went to school happily, so I hope she is ok and remembers to take her inhaler if she needs it.  We moved into our new extension last night and I can't believe how big it is, even with our sofas and the girls' toys in it.  We now have to decorate the rest of the house.
Over at CRAFT, our theme is to use metal on your project.  I have used the image Tutu sweet, by Meljen's Designs, one of our sponsors.  The papers are from my scrap box.  For the metal part, I have used a butterfly charm and some brads.
I'm off for a wander before Martha wakes up from her nap.
See you later.

Three is a magic number

Hi all,
It's pouring down here.  I hope it stops soon though as our poor little bunnies are getting wet.  They are in the hutch, but the rain is almost horizontal, so it soaks them anyway.  Martha went to nursery today as she still has a cough, but was far more bouncy and Martha-like this morning.  I just hope she manages the day.
Over at Creative Craft, it is our 3rd anniversary and so we have an amazing 4 sponsors.  Our theme is three - so use the number three, or three of something.  I have used an image from Robyn's Fetish, one of our sponsors.  I have paper pieced the bear.  There are 3 papers, 3 blocks, 3 bears and 3 pearls.
See you later.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas (Yes, I know, it's only October!)

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  Daisy had another birthday party to go to yesterday.  They went to the cinema and seemed to have a lovely time.  Martha is home from nursery today as she has an awful cough and wasn't herself this morning.  She has perked up a bit, so we will see if she can go tomorrow.  Otherwise, she can potter around with me at home.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Pink Gems Designs and we have a wonderful sketch for you, designed by our own Sheryl.  I really enjoyed using this as I love circular cards and don't make enough of them.  The sketch could always be put onto a square card, though, if you don't want a round one. I have used my nesties to make an easel card.  The sentiment is by Digital Delights and the blue bauble was cut out of patterned card.  I am off to have a coffee before Martha wakes up from her nap.
I would like to enter this into:
Ooh la la creations - use a Christmas sentiment
Catered crop - use circles

The floral dance

Hi all,
It's nearly Friday.  Yippee!  The building work should be done by this weekend, as there are just the odd bits to do now.  We have been trying to decorate it in the evenings so that we can move in next week.  The girls love having the extra space.
Over at CRAFT, our theme is monochrome.  As it is breast cancer awareness month, I thought I would use pink as my colour.  The image is Through the vines, by one of our sponsors, Floppy Latte.  The large flower paper is textured and has been in my stash for ages as I didn't want to cut it up.  I have used the sketch by Feeling Sketchy this week.
I would also like to enter this into Link up for Pink - linky party.
See you later

Just a quick one

Hi all,
We spent all weekend at my inlaws as our house was a mess and also my Mother in law was away so she asked us to go over and keep my Father in law company and make sure he had cooked meals, etc.  Because of the chaos everywhere, I haven't been able to make a project for this week's challenge at Incy Wincy (so sorry to my teamies) as I can't get to my crafty things with all the furniture in front of them.  We will be moving things out soon so I hope to keep up with my other commitments.  This week, we are sponsored by the fabulous Paper Shelter and our theme is anything goes.  I had a project in mind to do, so I may try and make it at some point.
See you later.

Beep beep, beep beep, yeah!

Hi all,
Our extension is nearly done.  The flooring is being fitted today and tomorrow, so we have our downstairs furniture all in the living room.  We have decided to spend a few days at my inlaws' house as the girls can't really play at ours at the moment, but at least it is nearly all done.
Over at CRAFT, our theme is sports.  I have used a wonderful image by Wags n Whiskers, one of our sponsors. Daisy is going to a birthday party on Sunday of one of her classmates.  I thought the birthday boy might like the image and I kept it fairly plain.  I have used the sketch by Feeling Sketchy, and kept mostly to the sketch as is.
Have a good day and I hope to be able to pop on over the weekend.

More fantastic candy

Hi all,
I know, another post from me today, and this one is also about candy!  Well, Donna at Bearly Mine Crafts has a fantastic giveaway.  You could win everything in the picture above and if you live in the UK, you could also have a chance of winning this printer below.

In a fix!

Hi all,
Just a quick one from me.  I have been having a nosy around the blogs I follow, and the fantastic Jules from Always with a heart has a great giveaway.  The people at Josy Rose have given her a hot fix wand and some gems to give away.  I don't often link up for candy, but I have quite fancied one for a while, so thought I would have a go and tell you all about it too!
See you later.

If you go down to the woods today...

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  We spent Saturday morning looking at flooring for the new room and getting paint and things to decorate.  Hopefully the builders will be done in a couple of weeks, and then we need to paint everywhere.  Daisy and I had another Oliver rehearsal yesterday, which went quite well.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Stamp Fairy.  Our challenge is bears, bears, bears, so I have used this sweet image by Stamp Fairy.  I have used papers by Bo Bunny and the snowflake charm was in a cracker last Christmas.
See you later.

Somewhere over the rainbow ...

Hi all,
Well, it has finally stopped raining and Daisy's school is now open, although the kitchen can't cook school lunches as a result of some flood damage, so everyone is on packed lunches.  This doesn't affect Daisy as she always takes a packed lunch anyway.  Martha and I went to a soft play this morning and now she is having a nap.
Over at CRAFT, our theme is to make your own embellishments.  I have used an image called Dorothy Honey by Sassy Studio designs, which is one of our sponsors.  The paper is by echo park and the flowers are my own punched circles and then rolled up technique!  I have used the fab sketch by Feeling Sketchy.  I have rotated it to better fit my image.  I would like to thank the ladies at Feeling Sketchy for choosing my circular snowman card for one of their top four.

Rain, rain go away

Hi all,
The weather has been awful up here.  I drove Martha to her nursery in Morpeth this morning and had to drive through lots of floods on the way only to find when we got there that the nursery was on a red flood warning as it is next to the river and it was shut.  All the staff were running around trying to move the furniture, etc out of the lower rooms and into safety.  We then drove home to find Daisy was still home with hubby (who was working from home), as her school was shut as the roads and fields around it were flooded.
As it was raining all day, we stayed inside, but we had a lot of builders here creating noise and dust, so we played games, made things and watched a DVD.  I was meant to be going to a rehearsal tonight but I didn't fancy driving anywhere, so I thought I would pop on here.
I made this bag a few weeks ago and forgot to post it. I have seen a lot of Union flag patterns in different colours, and thought I would make one in purple. The purple linen is from Lithuania when we visited there about 8 years ago!  The patterned fabric is from one of Martha's old tops and the white lace came from an old skirt of mine.
See you later.

You've got a friend

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  The builders came on Saturday and knocked the wall down between the kitchen and new orangery and left it covered in thick dust.  There were dust sheets put down, but the dust just got everywhere anyway.
Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by Fantastic Ribbons and Mayzy Art stamps and our theme is Friends.  The image is by Mayzy Art Stamps and the papers are all from my scrap box.  The felt flowers were free with a magazine a while ago, and I am running out of them now, so will need to find out where I can get more.
See you later.

Can't catch me!

Hi all,
I'm sorry I'm a day late with this post, but I've got a horrible cold and don't quite feel myself, so I forgot.  Oooops!
Over at CRAFT this week, we are sponsored by Bugaboo stamps, Stitchy Stamps and Trimgyms digi papers and images.  Our theme is children, and I have used a sweet image by Stitchy Stamps called Catch me.  I have followed the fab sketch from Feeling Sketchy and have decided that I really should make more circular cards.  The paper is by Nitwits and the rest is from my stash.
See you later.

Just a note

 Hi all,
I hope you are having a good day.  I am having a quick break from the housework, as I am not working today (the beginning of a school term is always slow work-wise for me).  Yesterday, the builders came around again to continue with the business of extending our house.  The orangery is now up and we are waiting for the glass roof which is coming tomorrow.  Then, the wall between the kitchen and the orangery will be knocked down.  Once that is done, I need to get decorating.  I hope to get it all done by Christmas, but with work, looking after the girls and crafting (of course) I'm not sure how much time I will have.
Over at Creative Craft this fortnight, we are sponsored by Bugaboo.  Our theme is anything goes, and as usual, I had trouble deciding what to do.  I wanted to do something different from a card, and settled on a post-it note holder.  The image is by Bugaboo, the paper is by Basic Grey, and the flowers were made from a scalloped circle, which I cut and rolled.  I keep thinking I should get one of the proper flower dies, but as this works for me, I'm not sure about spending the money!  I wrote on the blackboard with a pink chalk.
See you later.

Green, green and more green!

Hi all,
Well, it's the start of another week.  Daisy and I had another rehearsal yesterday and I found time to make two more owls which were requested - one for a friend's Mum and another for Daisy's friend who comes at the weekend to stay with her Dad who lives next door.
Over at Incy wincy this week, we are sponsored by Care2Stamp and our theme is monochrome green.  I don't use green an awful lot, but I do like how this turned out.  I'm not sure about the green hair, but I figured as she is a fairy, then it would be ok!
See you tomorrow.

The owl with no name

Hi all,
I hope you are having a good weekend.  It's been sunny here, so we spent today outside playing.
A week or so ago, I posted a picture of Charlotte, an owl I made for Daisy and said that Martha saw it and wanted one.  Well, here is her owl.  She hasn't thought of a name yet, but has started calling her owly, just as her mouse is mousey, etc!  The body is made from one of Martha's old T-shirts and the rest is from my stash.
See you later.  I'm off to watch Dr Who, which we recorded earlier.

Falling leaves

Hi all,
This week has gone so quickly.  Martha and I are off to meet some friends today and then tomorrow I am working and Martha is going with Daddy to get our new car.  I bet she will love that!
Over at CRAFT this week,  we are sponsored by Digital Delights, Eyecandie creations, Trimgym's digistamps and images and LEJ Designs.  Our theme is Autumn.  I have used Fall girl by Digital Delights.  The paper is by Hot off the Press and I have followed this week's sketch by Feeling Sketchy.  I would also like to saw thank you to Feeling Sketchy for choosing my vintage ladies card for the top 4.
See you later.

Have you guessed what it was yet?

Hi all,
As the girls are at school and nursery, and I don't have a supply teaching job today, I thought I would pop on here before getting all my other jobs done.
I had been wanting to make one of these bags for ages and finally got around to it in my fit of sewing madness.  I cut a leg off a pair of old jeans, lined it with blue gingham, added a flower and used the belt as handles.  It was quite quick to do and I love it.  The only problem is that Daisy has already taken it to use.  At least I have another leg I can use to make another one.
See you later.

Brrm, brrm

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  On Saturday, we entered some things in our local village show.  Daisy entered 19 things and was very pleased when she found out that many of them got 1st, 2nd or 3rd.  She also received a cup, that will be engraved with her name and she can keep it until the next show next year.  We also spent part of the weekend looking for a new car as hubby's car is definitely kaput and unfortunately we need two cars for work and ferrying around the girls.  Hopefully we will get it next week if all the paperwork, etc is ok.  Daisy and I had another Oliver rehearsal yesterday, which is going slowly, but I am sure it will be alright on the night as we still have two months to go.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Pure Innocence and our theme is to make a bookmark.  I have used paper by Basic grey, a Pure Innocence image and ribbon from my stash.
See you tomorrow.

Meet Charlotte

Hi all,
It's Friday, yippee!  Martha and I went to singing tots this morning.  It was the first one after the holidays, and it was great to get back to our normal routine.  Martha really enjoyed it and now she can say more things it was great to hear her singing along.  Daisy survived her first three days in Year 1 and seems happy to be there.
Last week, I dug my sewing machine out and made a few projects which have been stacking up.  Daisy saw a cute little owl in an advert in one of my craft magazines a while ago and I said I would make her one.  We picked some fabric from my scrap box and I made up a pattern.  I finally made it last week and luckily Daisy loved it and has named her Charlotte.  As soon as Martha saw her, she asked for one, so I am part way through it and will no doubt post it on here when I have finished it.
See you later.

What day is it?

 Hi all,
I can't believe it is Thursday already.  Daisy went back to school yesterday and it is really confusing me and I keep thinking it is Tuesday today.  Daisy had a great day at school and really likes her new teacher and the new headteacher.
Over at CRAFT, we are sponsored by Some Odd Girl, Digi Doodle Shop, Truly, Madly, Crafty and Flonz. We have a picture for your inspiration today:
I have used the sky colour and the trees for my card and it would be a good opportunity to make another Christmas card.  The image is a rubber stamp I have had for ages, but don't know who it is by.
See you later.

Let's frame it!

Hi all,
Daisy and I went to see Brave at the cinema today and we really enjoyed it.  She is back at school tomorrow, so we came back and got her things ready so we don't have too much of a panic in the morning.
My show today is something I have seen before and wanted to have a go.  I found an old picture frame and decided to decorate it with strips of paper cut from magazines.  I like the effect and Daisy has claimed it for her room, asking for a picture of her and Martha to go in it.
I would like to enter this into the following:
Papertake weekly - anything goes

Over at Creative Craft, it is Team A's turn to give inspiration, so it isn't my turn, so I don't have anything to show.  The theme is One for the boys.  We also have a DT call, so please check the blog for details.
See you later.

Back to school

Hi all,
I hope you had a good weekend.  It was lovely weather here, so we spent some time outside.  We also met some friends for lunch on Sunday, which was nice as I feel like I have been in my own little world for a while and not seen anyone outside the family, so I enjoyed it.  Daisy and I did a lot of jobs around the house today and tomorrow we are going to the cinema to see Brave, as it is Daisy's last day of the holidays and I promised we would do something together as Martha is at nursery.
Over at Incy Wincy today, we are sponsored by Digital Delights.  Our theme is Back to School and I have made a little bookmark for Daisy using this cute bookworm.   I thought that she could use it for her school reading book.  It's quite simple, but I made it last week when I had no mojo and just couldn't think of things to add.  Thankfully, Mr Mojo does seem to be making a reappearance now.
See you later.

Shhh ....

Hi all,
I hope you are having a good weekend.  Daisy and hubby have gone to the theatre to see a production of Annie, and Martha is having a nap, so I thought I would get on here for a bit.
This card showcases one of the wonderful images from Nicecrane Designs and is from the Women,Women,Women pack.  This made me laugh as soon as I saw it and just had to make something with it.  The paper is by Prima, the flowers are Wild Orchid and the sentiment is from my stash and I don't know where it is from, sorry.  I have used the fab sketch from Feeling Sketchy.  This is the first time I have been able to join in this month as it's been busy having Daisy home from school, but hopefully I will be able to enter more once things get back to normal.
See you later.

Lost, one mojo

Hi all,
Well, blogger wouldn't let me upload my photo, so luckily I managed to copy it from the DT blog.  I hope the problem gets sorted out soon though.  The girls and I had a bit of a lazy day today.  We stayed at home and made choc chip muffins, painted lots of boxes for junk modelling and watched Nanny McPhee on DVD.  Martha loves it and says Nanny all the time now!
Over at CRAFT, our theme is shaped cards.  I have used snowman snowglobe by one of our sponsors, The Stamping Boutique and just enlarged it and there you go.  I know it is incredibly simple, even for me, but I have no motivation or ideas at the moment, so if you see my mojo anywhere, please send it back to me.
See you later.

That's what little boys are made of

Hi all,
I hope you have had a good weekend.  We went down to our nephew's birthday party in Manchester yesterday and came back today.  The girls loved playing with their cousins and enjoyed having a sleepover.  Daisy and our niece, who is 7, chatted in bed until 10.30 last night, so she was a bit tired today.
Over at Incy Wincy, we are sponsored by Kenny K and our theme is Slugs and snails and puppy dog tails.  For my boy card, I have used Sports fan by Kenny K, and tried to use up some of my scraps of paper.
See you later.

Hot chocolate and marshmallows

Hi all,
I'm glad it's Friday, as I lost my voice yesterday and had a horrible cold, so wasn't a lot of fun for the girls. It's improving now, thankfully.  Hubby's car (which broke down on Sunday with Daisy and myself in it), is still at the garage, as they don't know what is wrong with it.  They ordered and fitted one part they thought it was, but it still broke down when they took it for a test drive.  I just hope we don't have to spend too much money when they do find out the problem.  It also means we need to do a bit of juggling with taking the girls to places, etc.  It's lucky it is the holidays, because if I was working, then hubby would have problems taking the girls to school and nursery with no car.
Over at CRAFT this week, we are sponsored by Meljen's Designs, Fantastic Ribbons and Saturated Canary.  Our theme is fairies.  I have chosen to make a tag and have used Cocoa Fairy by Meljen's Designs.  This will be going on a present for Daisy for Christmas.  She loves a treat of hot chocolate and marshmallows when it is cold, so I thought I would buy a mug and put in some sachets and a bag of marshmallow.  This will be the tag for it.

Happy bird-day

Hi all,
Martha is in nursery today and Daisy and I are off to have another Oliver rehearsal.  It's to do the adult singing, so Daisy won't be needed and I have promised that if she is good while I'm rehearsing, we will go for lunch afterwards.  That should work, as she loves her food!
Over at Creative Craft, we are sponsored by Some Odd Girl, and our theme is monochromatic birthday.  I have decided not to use a stamped image for a change, and found this lovely chipboard bird I received in a prize a few months ago.  The sentiment says 'Have a fabulous birthday'.  I have filled in the tail with green beads and used more for the eye.
See you later.

Splash!

Hi all,
We arrived back home late last night as we find that driving 6 hours up the country is better if the girls are asleep and the traffic is better at night.  Today, we collected our bunnies from their holiday sitter and then Daisy and I went to a rehearsal for Oliver, which we are both in.  On our way home, the car broke down and the AA man couldn't restart us, so 3 hours later, we were towed home, tired and hungry.  It's never dull here.

Over at Incy Wincy this week, we are sponsored by The Paper Shelter, and we have a photo inspiration for you.  Here it is:

The image and papers are by The Paper Shelter.  I have cut the papers and split the two halves, so they look like waves and added an anchor and stars (meant to be star fish).
See you later.
